2005 Assignments
   
2005 has proved to be a fabulous year with a variety of shoots providing filming challenges for a wide variety of productions. From BBC2's Top Gear to hanging off the North Face of The Eiger for the BBC Scotland portrait of Dougal Haston and the Adventure Show - it's all been out there....... and not to forget Ian Wright's Excellent and very challenging Adventure to the highest peak in the Arctic and his journey across the glaciers of East Greenland - winner of the Best Mountaineering Film Award at the 2005 Kendal Mountain Film Festival. Keith was also on the jury panel of the Banff Mountain Film Festival in Canada.
'Top Gear - Climber Versus Car' BBC2
Jeremy Clarkson, armed with a 155mph Audi RS4, races Leo Houlding and Tim Emmet to the top of the Verdon Gorge in the south of France. It was a close run thing ;1200 feet of vertical climbing against driving a 60 mile circuit on one of Europe's worst roads with a demonstration of spectacular speed climbing and gripping 'super-car' handling. 'Double or quits' at the top leads to a dramatic twist......................

'Ian Wright's Excellent Adventure'
Ex England footballer embarks on an epic journey across the glaciers of Greenland and climbs the highest peak in the Arctic. With the ski-equipped Twin Otter at its maximum payload we landed some 400 miles from the nearest settlement. We set off man-hauling all our equipment and supplies on sledges. Ian's final ascent from our Gunnbjonnsfjeld base camp to the summit proved to be a 20 hour marathon battle of wills.

'Haston - A Life In The Mountains'
This 50 minute documentary profiles the life of one of Scotland's legends of mountaineering. With comment from Doug Scott, Chris Bonington, Jimmy Marshall and many more we examine Dougal's achievments including his ascent of Everest via the SW face.
The film was put together with a mix of archive, actuality and interviews including filming on the North Face of the Eiger.

'The Adventure Show'
This monthly programme covers adventure sports events across Scotland including the World Mountain Bike Championships, the Hebridean Challenge adventure race, the indoor ice-climbing championships and the Tiree Wave Classic windsurfing event. Bikes, kayaks, boards, sails, crampons and ropes - we've had it all.........................
